Crewing Management
Oceans Lakes & River’s main core business is crewing – manning of ships. We give a special attention when selecting seafarers for our clients. All our selected seafarers are background checked and as of right now they are also required to have all vaccines (covid-19) up to date.
Ship Crewing Visas and Travel
We can take care of VISAS for seafarers for any country, but we specialize for Latin America like Mexico, Peru, Chile, Cuba etc..
Our Travel department – Agency will organize travel to – from the ship, hotels and all tasks in order to bring the seafarers safely to the destination in the shortest time.
Ship Crewing Insurance
OLR takes care for the insurance of each crew member before boarding a ship.
Ship Owners Representative
As experienced marine professionals, we help you proactively manage and execute your needs on your behalf – particularly when you don’t have the industry knowledge, time or resources in-house to do it yourselves.
An owner’s rep acts as the owner’s eyes and ears throughout the entire process with the sole purpose to minimize risks, prevent problems and eliminate surprises to ensure on‐time and on‐budget completion.
MLC Auditors
We are able to undertake an independent MLC verification audit on behalf of a company’s management team or ship owner.
The MLC Convention covers the following areas:
- Minimum requirements for seafarers to work on a ship
- Conditions of employment
- Accommodation, recreational facilities, food and catering
- Health protection, medical care, welfare and social security protection
- Compliance and enforcement
We generate concise and accurate reports identifying non-conformities, observations and noteworthy remarks. Our aim is to assist our clients to remove non-conformities and provide pragmatic solutions to compliance issues.
